At first, I didn't get the excitement that I use to get whenever I travel. Badian actually is next to Moalboal in the southern part of Cebu. Hopping on a V-Hire and chatting on the entire trip didn't make us feel dizzy with the long and winding roads.
As we approached the town of Barili, I was amazed by the mountains and I told my friend that it is somewhat like what we see in Hawaii, although I have seen it before when we went to Moalboal. After three hours of travel, first stop is Moalboal. There is no direct V-Hire to Badian so we have to go there by motorcycle which cost us around P75.00 each for the ride to get us to La Playa Resort where our friend has a reservation. I thought it was just nearby but to my surprise the ride did take us around 20 minutes to the resort and it was creepy, my mind was imagining thngs like NPA and stuffs but as adventurous as I am, I just held on to the swiss knife that my dad gave me for protection and boyscout use.
When we arrived in La Playa it was serene, peaceful, and quiet, and I said to myself "hmmm, this place is good for relaxation..." like getting out of the hustle and buzzle of the Metropolitan Cebu. The owner (Asuncion) really did entertain us and her assistant (Annalie) was exceptionally courteous and very smiling. I remembered what my friend said that clean fresh air from the rural areas makes you real positive and have a good outlook in life.

I don't want to go into details about what happened on that night since it was all drinking, singing and being merry when Jorich and his colleagues arrived at the resort. But nonetheless it was fun meeting new people and drinking tequila.
The next day, we were off to Kawasan Falls, the destination on why we went to Badian. I have been into so many waterfalls in my entire life since I was born in the City of Majestic Waterfalls (Iligan) but each waterfalls has its own say. The trek to Kawasan is to hike from the Church and off to the mountains, it is about a 45 minutes trek and see the levels of waterfalls cascading. As we were near I can hear the waters rumbling and ready to devour each person when you jump into the open lagoon.
Level 2 of the Kawasan Series of Falls
Kawasan has its own beauty and uniquely it captivated me in some way, I can describe it as a perfect getaway to unwind, chill, and just feel the jungle leaving all the paperworks, endless meetings, and tiring environment of the metro.
Nonetheless, my experience in Kawasan was rather beautiful and enigmatic. With Jello, Jorich and his colleagues of Qualfon Cebu, I'm very thankful for taking me there and it was a weekend to remember.
